“Soledad,” the Spanish word for “loneliness,” captures the essence of isolation that many indigenous people in Peru experience. Having grown up in Peru, I often witnessed scenes like the one depicted in this painting. Through my art, I strive to convey the deep emotions and solitude that define these moments.
